Penticton, BC - On September 10, Sutton - Power 1 Realty Ltd. dedicated time and effort to help the BC SPCA (British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) raise over $10,000 in their fight against animal abuse during the 11th annual Paws for Cause initiative. A Part of the team participated in the mass dog walkathon while the rest tended to an educational BCSPCA booth on the waterfront of Penticton. The popular Paws for Cause brought together 200 dogs and their owners who took a five kilometer fundraising walk along the Penticton lakeshore.

Chris Kasianchuk, a salesperson with the office commented, "It was a very positive team-building event. We are not only Realtors but also part of a community that needs our support for various causes". Each month the salespeople contribute a certain amount to the office "community fund". The accumulated funds are allocated to charities and causes selected by the team. "Each of us has a cause dear to our hearts and the community fund allows us to contribute to these causes", said Chris.

Dianna Smith, broker/owner of Sutton - Power 1 Realty Ltd. strongly supports the idea of giving back to the community. She shares, "Being integral to the growth of the community is rewarding, the feedback from the people is there and I am proud to see our cohesive team go out there, have fun and give back at the same time". Members of the office chose the lime green Sutton t-shirt as their collective community symbol. "The green colour signifies community mindedness and the positive spirit of the team. It also reminds us that contributing is an enjoyable and uplifting experience", revealed Dianna.

Sutton - Power 1 Realty Ltd. has set an example not only as a solid team but also as a benevolent and generous one. Other Sutton offices are setting examples in their communities and expressing their spirit of giving, sharing and enriching the lives of others around them.
