Mississauga, ON - On December 12, 2006, Sutton Group - Summit Realty Inc.* will hold its 3rd annual Christmas Luncheon Fundraiser to celebrate the efforts of the unique Summit Cares Program. The luncheon will feature the popular Casino and Silent Auction to raise funds for programs such as Interim Place, Kids Help Phone Line and Children's Aid Society. The luncheon will be held at the Mississauga Golf and Country Club.

Summit Cares is an ongoing non-profit program that was launched in 2005 and is supported by salespeople who donate a portion of each real estate transaction.

The office has raised an impressive $20,000 since the inception of the program. Summit Cares committee members include Vince Carnovale, Heather Sorensen, Belle Jean, and Nina Bokor. The organizers are thankful to all local businesses that contributed prizes for this year's Casino and Silent Auction. DVDs and TVs are amongst many other popular items that the office will bid on during the auction. The proceeds will be donated to organizations in need.

On Thanksgiving, Summit Cares members, Vince Carnovale and Heather Sorensen, presented Foodpath with $5,500 on behalf of the salespeople at Sutton Group - Summit Realty Inc.* Each month Foodpath collects and distributes food and household items to 4,000 residents in Mississauga, of which 50% are children. The Foodpath's Breakfast program ensures that no Mississauga child begins his/her school day hungry.

Interim Place is an organization that provides services for women and children in crisis. It operates two emergency shelters to provide a safe haven, support and counselling for these families. Summit Cares also supports Our Place II, Peel Region's only emergency youth shelter. Our Place II provides food, safe shelter, counselling, support and referrals for youth in crisis.

The dedication of the Summit Cares program is invaluable to the Mississauga community and its betterment.
