Calgary, AB - A day of family fun and delicious food will take place on Saturday, September 8th, for the 1st Annual Back to School Barbeque. REALTOR® Kelley Skar of Sutton Group - Canwest organized this event that will be in front of an M&M Meat Shop in Calgary. This barbeque is a fundraiser for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Kelley hopes it will be a success.

The barbeque fundraiser was inspired by Kelley's mother-in-law who had cancer. He wanted to do something to support someone close to him and a great cause. "As a REALTOR®, I have the perfect opportunity to get out into the community and market and support the cancer foundation", said Kelley.

The 1st Annual Back to School Barbeque on Saturday, September 8th will be from 11am-3pm at the M&M Meat Shop at #500-515 Country Hill Boulevard in Calgary. A burger and pop will cost $2 with all proceeds going towards the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Kelley expects that there will be 300 people attending and hopes to raise over $600. "This is an event for the whole family, especially for the kids since it is a back-to-school themed barbeque", said Kelley.

It's all about connecting with the community for Kelley Skar. On top of organizing the barbeque, he has volunteered and donated to the Mustard Seed Street Ministry, an organization that supports the homeless. Kelley cares about his community and is glad that his profession allows him to be closer with local businesses and people.
