Woodstock, ON - Along with real estate, REALTOR® Drew Symons of Sutton Group - Right Way Real Estate (2007) Inc. has a passion for golf and basketball. Before becoming a REALTOR®, Drew was a professional golfer. When his golf career ended, he became head coach of the College Avenue Secondary School (CASS) in Woodstock, Ontario. He is also heavily involved with the golf community in his area.

When Drew was in high school he enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball and golf. After graduating, he began working with the College Avenue Secondary School Junior Boys' basketball team in the late 1990's; he then became assistant coach to the CASS Knights Senior Boys' team. In addition, for 6 years, Drew was a professional golfer travelling across North America. In 2006, he decided to pursue his career as a real estate agent and this allowed him the flexibility to become head coach of the CASS Knights Senior Boys' team. He dedicates 14 hours a week towards his team during the season. "Real estate allows me to coach 1-2 hours a day. I enjoy making a positive influence on high school kids and creating a good work ethic", expressed Drew.

Coaching is one of many things that Drew does in the community. He runs golf clinics for children at the Oxford Golf & Country Club and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament Committee. He is also assisting with a golf tournament to support the Woodstock & District Real Estate Board in raising funds for Sakura House, a hospice for those with cancer. As well, for 2 years, he has been fundraising for a new gym floor at CASS.

Drew received a tremendous amount of support from the community when he was a professional golfer and felt he should return the support. He loves coaching and supporting youth - "it's great to teach what I know about the sport to kids who love the sport too." He also feels that "as a real estate agent it always helps to be out in the community and increase your visibility."
