Vancouver, BC - REALTOR® Zul Jiwa of Sutton Group - Killarney Realty is walking for a cause. He will join nearly 10,000 individuals in the World Partnership Walk on May 25th in Vancouver. This walk, which takes place in nine cities across Canada, fights against global poverty and supports those in developing countries. Zul's goal is to raise over $35,000 towards this important cause through various donations.

Zul has participated and fundraised for the walk since 1985. "I have been supporting the walk year after year; I want to help those less fortunate and give back", expressed Zul. Last year, he raised $27,000 and he hopes to surpass this amount by raising over $35,000 this year.

The annual World Partnership Walk is now in its 24th year; it is Canada's largest national event that is dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds to help alleviate global poverty. This walk is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), a non-denominational, registered Canadian charity, whose mandate is to support international initiatives in the areas of health, education, rural development and strengthening community-based organizations. Funds are raised through individual donations, corporate sponsors, and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) which matches every dollar raised.

The 7km walk will commence on Sunday, May 25th, at 11:30am at Lumberman's Arch in Stanley Park. Once the walk is complete, everyone will get to enjoy live music, a barbeque, and various other festivities. Zul encourages those who haven't been to the walk, to come out this year. "It's an amazing fun day!" There is still time to register as an individual or as part of a team.
