Tournament to Fund Critical Care for Wildlife
Kingston, ON – The Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre (SPWC) is currently caring for a springtime deluge of orphaned baby rabbits, fawns, chicks, turtles, and other high-need youngsters along with hundreds of injured animals. SPWC strives to rehabilitate them so they can be returned to the wild. The costs to feed, shelter and provide medical care to approximately 5,000 animals each year are significant, and the centre relies entirely on donations and fundraising including a special annual event.
Your Grant Team is pleased to announce that this year’s Charity Golf Tournament for the Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre will take place at the Garrison Golf and Country Club on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 1:30 pm.
The cost per golfer is $125, which includes a cart for two, a round of golf on an exceptional course, and dinner prepared by the Garrison's fabulous chef.
Your Grant Team: Rhonda Grant, Brandon Grant, and Jamie O’Leary, plan to sponsor a $10,000 Hole-in-One at this tournament. There will also be a prize table, a putting contest, a 50/50 draw as well as trophies for the top Mixed, Ladies’ and Men's Teams and individual trophies for closest to the pin and longest drive.
“To own the field for this ‘shotgun start’ we need 72 golfers!” Rhonda Grant says. “If you know someone who would enjoy this event, please have them reach out to me or include them in your team. Sign up a team of four, a twosome or single—we will with match you with other golfers.”
