Gratitude Inspires a Top Giving Agent
Abbotsford, B.C. – Congratulations to Sat Swaich, who was recently named one of Canada’s Top 100 Giving Agents for 2023. This distinction is an initiative of Rate My Agent. Participants are required to send in copies of their official, charitable receipts then Rate My Agent calculates and ranks the contributions of sales associates across Canada.
Sat’s generosity is rooted in his early years. He was raised in a first-generation immigrant family in the Fraser Valley and learned the value of hard work in his family's grocery store. He was also a dedicated athlete who enjoyed team sports and earned a BBA in Finance & Marketing at the University of the Fraser Valley before launching his real estate career.
“My surroundings and upbringing have caused me to think about generosity,” Sat reflects. “My parents being first generation immigrants to Canada instilled values of giving back considering all the opportunity given to us in such a beautiful place in the world. I saw this at a young age with my grandparents and parents volunteering much of their time in our Sikh temples and community events.
“As I've grown my business, I've been lucky to meet clients and colleagues who passionately support a particular charitable organization or work in one! Being a busy REALTOR®, I don't always have time—but I've taken the opportunity to donate financially where I can. It's the least we can do.”
Sat donates to several charities, but he is especially supportive of the Canuck Place Children's Hospice and Abbotsford Hospice. “These organizations are honourable for helping people—whether children at a young age or the elderly at the end of their life—who need our help and compassion.”
This year marks Sat’s tenth anniversary with Sutton. During this time, he’s developed a reputation as someone who is generous as well as knowledgeable in serving homeowners, landowners, investors, and developers.
